What These Roses Taught Me About Time

It’s been a while since I’ve shared here, but today felt like the right moment to return. Sometimes inspiration doesn’t arrive loudly; it comes softly, in the form of something ordinary that suddenly becomes extraordinary. For me, it was a vase of roses.
I’ve had these roses for three weeks now, and somehow, with every passing day, they’ve grown even more beautiful. The soft halo of purple along the petals wasn’t there at first; it emerged slowly, quietly, like a secret revealed only with time. Every time I look at them, I’m reminded of the beauty that surrounds us daily, often unfolding so gently we almost miss it.
It’s said that roses with exceptional longevity, a full three weeks in a vase, are a rare gift. Their extended life allows us to witness the subtle, graceful shifts that come with natural aging. Nothing dramatic, nothing rushed. Just a steady unveiling of depth, color, and character. And it made me realize: we so often view the passing of time as something to fear, something that takes from us. But these roses taught me that time can also give. It can soften us, deepen us, reveal the colors that weren’t visible before.
So on this day, I encourage us all to see the beauty that can emerge with time. Shalom. 🌹✨💜

Such a timely & thoughtful sharing. ESPECIALLY during this time of year when we often feel rushed & not enough. Your post is a gentle reminder to slow down...to exercise patience and grace with ourselves so that we can see the beauty that resides within.
